Everyone seems to love this book but to me something feels deeply off about it. Maybe Im not smart enough to understand the depth of this book and it's symbols/metaphors, but the way the author describes the friendship between the 2 young girls feels like mockery. The homoerotic undertones are so obviously made subtle and vague to the point of absurdity. Idk if im gonna finish this
