larry, you really have some gall telling me i need to get to the point in my writing when we are over 100 pages into this book and just now getting to some actual, concrete writing advice

this book is hellbent on taking 200+ pages to convey an idea bojack horseman was able to get across in one exchange. (“i’m writing the next great american novel.” “oh? what’s it about?” “it’s about truth, it’s about war, it’s about the twilighting frontier of the lives that were promised us.” “but what is it about? who are the characters?”)

larry brooks the fact that you can't write a draft until you know everything about the story (and can't shut up about it) sounds like a skill issue to me
