Okay there's a difference between 'you're -really-cool' defiance and the 'you're -irritating -the-living-daylight-out-of-me' defiance. And Eryn, you're irritating me.

She's such a brat and very undeserving of Enric. I like him...her not so much.

Enric you sly diggity dog, she's going to zap your butt to kingdom come when she finds out what you did!

Something has got to happen...like something awesome, adventurous or exciting because all that's happened so far...is training, training, training.

Hmm, a slow start but fascinating world building.
