March 1921: Margaret Mitchell and a Georgia Tech student stunned onlookers at a ball by performing a wildly suggestive dance that ended with a long kiss. (It was copied from a scene in the film Four Horseman of the Apocalypse.) It cost her dearly in social circles.

A dance, a kiss, and shocking the group. Sounds familiar, if you’ve read Gone with the Wind. 😂
