Put this book down a couple of pages past 100. Mediocre dialogue, painfully uninteresting characters with backstories that fail to engage the reader. The scenes that are supposed to be tense feel contrived. It’s certainly not the worst I’ve read, but it also failed to pique (or hold) my interest.
