I feel like I’m making progress, you know? But I really dont like how it gives such strong hunger games vibes. Like, extremely strong and the problem is, the writing does not match up. The trials seemed like a fun little game of stepping on each other’s toes and laughing and dancing and sleeping when I expected something much more gory.

The few pages in which they delved into each other’s personal life felt forced. I felt stupid because of the amount of times I was told what they were feeling. One thing I know about storytelling is that you have to show, not tell. It’s like one basic fundamental rule.
I felt bad for Kai, I did. I love him. But it could have been delivered much better. The best thing I have read so far is (view spoiler) Now that’s how I would like to learn that he cares about others.
