Chapter Two "Paying the Price" focused completely on Iraq and the economic sanctions placed on Iraq and how it completely turned the country upside down and caused so much suffering. Initially, the US supported Saddam Hussein as a way to fight Iran. But when the dictator proved useless, they dispose of him and cause so much suffering to the Iraqi people. Iraq is still a crippled state and the UN is very useless.

Chapter 3 The Great Game showcases the double standard of Western countries. Imperialism has been replaced by globalisation. Tony Blair and George Bush said that they wanted to spread democracy and liberate oppressed people in the Middle East but that was really euphemism for their planned military campaign to gain more control of this oil-rich region.
