literally every single section of this chapter so far has just been like "BAM here's a crazy plot reveal; BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE"
I'm so happy that I forgot most of this book so that I can experience all of this as if for the first time. I'm shook. when book 3 ended we thought that *the main characters of the book* would finally get peace and resolution, but WAIT, THERE'S MORE

ok let's back it up;
book 4 begins a new story arc, and introduces us to new characters, ideas, and most importantly, a mystery that's seemingly a bit TOO obvious for the reader.
it plays on the dramatic irony of what we think we've already figured out, and then BAM rug pull. brilliant. brb continuing
