I'm not really understanding a lot of this. Is Angelica black? is that why it's obvious that she isn't Davis's bio daughter? Was his first wife white? I thought she was black too... Why don't i like any of the characters very much? What kind of center does Candy run? is it a school or an after school thing? Why are the resolutions to the one interesting part of the plot glossed over at the end?
