Chap. 19 was just really poorly done lol! The message got across and was understood but, as a quintessential turning point for one of the character was revealed, it was done extremely sloppily.

Murakami could have been airing his grievances for Japanese feminism, which is fine that his creative liberty but I just felt the way in which he executed it was lined with misogyny. A shame since the story is so captivating
