You who do not remember
passage from the other world
I tell you I could speak again: whatever
returns from oblivion returns
to find a voice.
Maybe I'm in the right mood, but this feels like an instant favourite.

Your mood seems contagious, Maryana - on top of the pile this collection goes :) - after reading her novella 'Marigold and Rose' I am curious about her flower symbolism.

I knew nothing about this collection (except perhaps that wild iris was a flower?), but after reading a few poems I was astonished by what it might be 💫 I feel there is so much more than flowers and symbolisms, while of course there might be some recurring motifs and images in Glück’s poetry. She can be both stoic and emotional, a rare quality. I shall return to this collection during a quieter time over the weekend (I hope) as it’s so hectic right now, I don’t think I’m giving all the attention it deserves. But it feels good to read poetry again :) I’m also curious about Glück’s novella - that review of yours is truly wondrous!
