Loving the point here as well - you will see that organic and farmer market labeled foods are often sold in gentrified areas where people can afford to consider the ethics of their food, as opposed to areas where people need to consider if they can buy fresh fruit and vegetables at all.

I appreciated the part of this chapter that pointed out that tying ethics to food can be harmful to those who cannot afford “ethical and clean” foods - pinning the idea that those who are poor are lazy and uneducated. I feel like this is a portion of the issue that is often overlooked by many - fast/junk/unhealthy food is often cheaper!
