I really appreciate how specific and clear this book is. E.g. Benches ought to be this high, for these specific reasons. Many design books end up leaning heavily on rules of thumb without explaining the why and how; I’m glad this author doesn’t shy away from the physics and materials aspects!

I’m learning so much. I had no knowledge of the different sauna traditions, and the whole German Aufguss performance is wild to me. Definitely had to pull up a YouTube video to get context on that one.
