I keep slogging along because the book feels like it's just about to get better, something interesting is about to happen, some significant character development is about to show itself. I have a suspicion that I'm deluding myself. This is very much a character driven story but the characters are disclosed too slowly and aren't that likeable. I can't tell if this is meant to be a comedy, a dramedy, a tragedy or what.

Bored, bored, bored...

Kind of hard to figure out where this is going... or if it's going anywhere. Lots of awkwardness.
