The book starts out in second person in this first chapter. The pacing feels weird, it’s like it’s a conversation with no pauses in between for me to even respond in my head. I can’t tell who the character is actually intending to speak to. Is he in front of an audience? Is this his story being shared in narrative in an exclusive interview? Idk
