So far both MCs hate each other and keep referring to an event a few months ago that made the FMC hate the MMC -- BUT the author hasn't elaborated on what that is! The FMC is *destroyeddddd* from this thing that happened between them... BUT WHAT WAS IT?? Grrr. Just tell me so we can get on with it. 😡

Kristina If read two books like this and BOTH times the incident is the FMC having sex with the super drunk MMC and he didn’t remember the next day. So I predict it’s that. Never heard of this book so I’m not spoiling. I just have a feeling 😉

Yes. Totally. Something along that exact same line is for sure happening -- the outcome being the FMC bore her soul to him and, the MMC rejected her (so ya, they probably had sex in this soul bearing moment). AND now she *HAAAAATES* him. So there's clearly a bunch there to unpack... BUT WHAT!?! Unpack it please! I can handle it. That's why I'm here! I'm at 30% of this endless repetitive internal dialogue of intense hatred based on that moment she'll never forget and *NEVER* forgive him for... WHICH, we also know, SHE TOTALLY WILL FORGIVE HIM FOR because they're going to get together!

Ugh. This kind of withholding information and endless internal musing about this EPIC EARTH SHATTERING, LIFE ALTERING MOMENT, drives me nuts! Thank you for listening to my rant!

Kristina No problem. That irks me too. The ones with the drunk MMC irk me most because she’s mad at him for not remembering when a drunk person can’t give consent and he should be mad at her for assaulting him. But that’s a rant for another day and hopefully it’s not that in this book.
But the pussy footing around the main conflict without revealing it even just to the reader is frustrating.
