It is so fitting that this book mentions “Go Ask Alice”

Adam, Paul, and Mayhew are guilty of something, that much is known. Adam’s note on the windshield, Mayhew’s questioning of further copies, statement of Paul’s character and language proves their guilty of something. My guess is they’re involved in a sex ring that records these videos. If only Claire went to the FBI

I don’t trust Mayhew one bit. I don’t think those videoed are just demented fake porn, I believe they’re real and there’s some connection between them and those missing girls, Julia and Anna. I think Mayhew is a part of the weird circle of people who partake or access those videos. The fact that he had no reaction to the gruesome videos, called himself a “pig who knows” and also spoke in a similar language to Paul.

First I thought Lydia was the girl in the video and Paul was the man, but now that Claire has cleared Paul from being the man, I assume Paul is like Jefferey Epstein, or one of his clients. He’s definitely a part of some kidnapping sex slave ring. I think that ring has something to do with Julia’s disappearance. If so, it’s too bad Paul is dead. He won’t truly pay for his crimes although he’s burning in hell

Claire, Lydia, Julia are all sisters. What a weird family and even crazier family drama. But Claire was wrong for not sticking with her sister over her husband. I know Lydia was a stealing drug addict, but men are not to be trusted. Paul “work” documents are proof if that.

Oh so Claire is a habitual cheater? Yet she wholeheartedly believes her husband was completely faithfully and didn’t rape her sister?

“Lydia watched the wipers valiantly battle the rain”. Liked that kind. Also I think I get the connection between that weird porn video and Lydia. Lydia said she had sex in exchange for drugs so maybe that was Lydia in the video. Plus she mentioned she had some interaction with Paul in the same paragraph so it’s probably that.

What’s the connection between Paul and Lydia? I forgot it was revealed she hated him, further proving that Paul had some skeletons in his closet.
“Wear a bra to bed?” And I liked the line “rain started to spit in the windshield” plus the description of the broken windshield wipers, “the rubber part of the blades skittered across the glass”.

I think Paul is suspicious because that video and his security system, ultra tidinesses has to be a cover for something. Also Nolan GAGGED Claire with the line, “I forgot you’ve had experience with the justice system”.

Now she’s Claire is talking about “the hours she spent with Adam”, did she have an affair??

Um was that description of the movie necessary? I skipped over it, especially because I’m at work! Talk about bad timing. This is the 2nd lewd scene of the book. And why did he have that downloaded on his computer? Super weird, and she really started laughing in the beginning like it was funny.

Also Nolan is weird.
