Bold and fascinating. But. Pedantic, oh so painfully pedantic. Which leads to boredom, to the heights of where I lose all train of thought. It could lay in the translation, not to blame the Translator, but Bulgarian is difficult to switch into English, you don't want it cold, austere, nebulous, amirite? I just can't find the heartbeat of this novel, now at page 118. Maybe a dreaded, and loved, slow burn. - Benway
