Had Contact on my shelf for a while, picked it up at a local used bookstore a couple years ago and when I got it the guy behind the counter just lit up. Always liked Carl Sagan and I remember enjoying the movie, though I don't remember much about it. Got 50 pages in today and looking forward to reading more.

I’ve loved the movie since I was a kid. I read the book about ten or eleven years ago. It’s a great read!

I feel like I just got through the first act and it's kinda slow, but I like how he just goes off on a tangent every once in a while to be like "I know this is taking a bit to get going, so here's something awesome to think about." Such a Sagan thing to do.
