This is a quick read. I wanted to see what my kids were talking about who had to read this book in middle school. It's the original YA novel. At times the story seemed to jump too quickly or the writing style did not seem fully developed, then I read that Hinto wrote this when she was in high school. Amazing! I enjoyed the read of this classic.
