* Updating as I read, just finished Book 7
This is by far one of my favorite books of the series and has redeemed the books I didn't like. The author kept moving the plot along, which she hasn't always done. Although it always seems that they defeat the villian very fast. There is all this build up and suddenly in just 1 chapter the villian is defeated. Overall, this was a really good book.

This book plot wise was pretty good, but it has the laziest editing job I have ever seen. There were tons of typos and I just couldn't believe they would print the book like that. I'm really not happy about it.

The past couple books have been really good, which makes me feel kind of weird since I found out L.J. Smith hasn't written any books since book 7. Apparently she was fired from her own series. Anyway, I've been liking the story line, but these "new" authors have been making the defeat of villians super short. There is all this build up for the whole book and the fight is over in 1 page.

I wish I would have watched the show after reading the series, but the differences are what interested me. Books 1-4 were good, the show outlined the books so it made it easy to compare. Book 5 was hard to finish. It was confusing and I felt like things happened randomly. What I really like about the author is that she recaps everything from the beginning in each book.
