I've heard good things about the Solomon Kane series. How's this book going so far?

It's okay so far. Howard got better as a writer when he got onto his Conan stories.

I like the concept of the Kane character but the stories thus far are pretty pedestrian.

Also, the stories are very much of their time and are interesting as historical artifacts as well.
