I'm really struggling to get through this book. I used to love Anne Rice. But I know this resulted in a flop of a movie- maybe the book isn't good either? maybe i should read some other reviews.

It's been about 30 yrs since i read these novels. i'm not liking this one. maybe my tastes in writing have changed. the only one i remember really liking was the mummy, ramses. not sure what i can pin down about queen of the damned i don't like. partly writing style overall. it's like it started with something similar to, "hi, i'm lestat. you might have known me from such works as blah blah blah."
