okay so i already have many complaints.
1) this book is so fucking cliche it has every fantasy overused trope ever compacted into interactions between isla and grimshaw
2) cringe dialogue: “i’m not sure what i enjoy more. seeing the way you grip a sword… or the way your dress grips your body.” … if a man says that to me im bolting
3) every time he calls her hearteater i cringe
4) writing is. so. choppy.
