So far, I really enjoy this book. It's definitely darker than the Disney version (surprise surprise) 😂, but also kinda humorous. The whole marriage thing going on with Esmeralda and Gringoire is a little weird but whatevs. Also, the women deciding if they wanted to save the men by marrying them is an unexpected feminist flare that is somehow working.
