And the ending just seemed a bit rushed if you ask me, where I still had a lot of questions by the end. And the whole "our mating wasn't right" issue was just kinda swept under the rug if you ask me. I mean, she literally stabbed him, he was (understandably) hurt and thought she didn't want him, she sought him out and then their HEA. Once again THEIR story is rushed, so the overall plot can take up more space.

What to say, what to say. I mean, it wasn't bad, and I was very much hooked the first 30% or so, but then? Downhill from there. I've thought about it, and I think it's cuz the overall plot of the series with the vamps and Madam J or whatever started taking over a bit too much compared to our main couple. Their story seemed more like an afterthought than the focus of the story, and so I didn't care much either.

When I said I wanted something to happen between Jase and Cassie, I didn't mean kidnapping or a forced mating. And what's worse is that my intrigue still hasn't come back despite said drama. Sure I wanna see, where it goes and how they get away, but I'm not as invested as I was in the beginning of the book *shrug*.

Okay what the hell? Were did all the suspense go? Sure, there's still a lot going on, but with Jace and Cassie? Nothing. They're at a standstill seeing as Cassie needs time to think. And I get that, I do, but I need something ELSE to happen then. I'm getting bored, which sucks as I was all in at first ://

I just have one question: why are the chapters so long? Whenever the POV changes, it could easily signal a new chapter beginning instead of all this back and forth in the same chapter. I mean, the one I just started is an hour. That's a long ass chapter, if you ask me.

Is this a bit insta? Yes. But I mean, it's fated mates and Jace has obviously been waiting for Cassie for a long time so it works. Aaand the chemestry between those two is hot hot hot, so my interest is peaked ;)
