Vortullax is possibly the nastiest demon I've read about in an RPG. Not just abilities, though. I'm talking demeanor and motives. Yikes!

The "Superstitions of Vornheim" alone is worth the price of the book. e.g., "In the southeastern district, if a criminal is publicly executed and no-one laughs, everyone present will lose a family member within the year. (The constabulary therefore goes to great lengths to devise humorous methods of execution.)" or "A child must not sleep in stripes, or else it will be replaced with a doppelganger in the night." Etc.
