I think despite Stormlight's definite place over Mistbourne, I still like this more. Stormlight has the whole "epic fantasy" thing and is where a lot of Cosmere lore and plot unfolds, which I like, but Mistbourne has a notably-clearer aesthetic. I don't know what it is, but I would describe it as gothic proto-steampunk fantasy combined with whatever genre Sanderson has at the time. IDK, it works. Love it so far.
