There’s so much in this book that doesn’t make sense. The exposition is hilarious at times. The writing is nothing to talk about. The main guy is a repeat of every other romantasy main guy out there. And yet, I don’t care. I really don’t. I’m having so much fun. :)

Which leads me to think, if there’s one thing I wish to learn from this book, as a writer, is pacing. The pacing here is masterful.

So, to sum up my sentiments about this book so far:

You know when you’re feeling down, and this unique craving for the most greasy, most decadent piece of junk food, hits you like a wave? And you must have it. It’s all you think about. You can’t stop, even when you know that might even regret it later.

That’s what this book is for me, right now.
