I just finished He Who Dares: Book Three. Finished all three in about a week. Reminds me a bit of the longknife series. Well written and the author his an ok if not better knowledge of history. He does have a very libertarian society running well, though, contrary to historical experience. That does not interfere with the plot or character development though. I recommend the series.
