Finished the book of Genesis—I’m floored. Not mainly because of the god-sanctioned murders and incest, but because of the incredibly lazy writing. Any 8-year old can write more engaging prose than this.

I’ve heard the upcoming book of Exodus is a real page-turner, though, so looking forward to that!

Already, only 18 pages in, this book has proved to be a wild ride—a fever dream of such proportions I have never seen before. There’s a bit of everything—the creation of the universe, genocide, incest, and boats. Only 1,170 pages left!
