I hate to say it...this book is boring.

Predictable.

It's completely at odd with the style of the Broken Crown series too. I think this review is going to be a rant one. Starting with how the names don't make sense. How the heck do you have Kallandras, Gilliam, Kyrssanthos in the same breath as Stephen? It doesn't fit.

Both of these authors wrote within the same decade, and I doubt West has been translated into Japanese, so they probably didn't influence each other. Unless West reads transliterated manga, which is a possibility, but if she didn't, then isn't that interesting that two such disparate works would come to similar symbols?

I wonder if there are others? I discount Inuyasha, because Sesshoumaru has golden eyes too.

I just realized something.

So, in this universe of West's, the half-breeds between the gods and humans have golden eyes.

In the universe of Kazuya Minekura, the half breeds between gods and humans also have golden eyes. Well...that's an oversimplification, those who came about because of broken taboos have golden eyes, interbreeding between gods and men is one method.

Isn't that interesting?
