I have so many thoughts about this book and all of them contradict one another

I can't decide if I like this or not. The overall concept is good, but I'm still finding the pacing and language usage feels off. I'm bit disappointed with the serve focus on the sexual relationship between the main couple as opposed to their emotional connection, it creates a foundation that feels lacking of genuine connection. I'm hoping this will improve though. It is good to see some actual plot developments.

I know this is fantasy romance but I was not expecting it to get so sexual so quickly or to that degree. Personally, I'm not overly fond of the writing style so far, there's way too many descriptions and the way flash backs/ dreams are written comes out of nowhere and is genuinely confusing. The characters don't seem to be well written.
I don't know, it's not looking great at the moment but I still have hope.
