David Lutkins I am very saddened by this news. Jim was a friendly, insightful and considerate member of the Goodreads community. In the areas where our literary interests intersected, I learned a great deal from Jim and will miss reading his posts and his reviews. Sincere condolences to his family

Janny So sorry to hear this, he was a lively and intelligent presence with so many interesting views, and great willingness to share his hobbies and his books. Thank you for the announcement, and my sincere condolences to the family. He will be sorely missed.

Laura (Kyahgirl) Erin and James, I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing . I have been Goodreads friends with Jim for years and always enjoyed our interactions on the DIY group. He told stories about the family and the horses and, of course, his beloved wife. I’m sorry for your loss.
