I am very saddened by this news. Jim was a friendly, insightful and considerate member of the Goodreads community. In the areas where our literary interests intersected, I learned a great deal from Jim and will miss reading his posts and his reviews. Sincere condolences to his family

I will really miss his presence. I used to enjoy discussing hummingbirds with him. Very nice man!

Erin and James, I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing . I have been Goodreads friends with Jim for years and always enjoyed our interactions on the DIY group. He told stories about the family and the horses and, of course, his beloved wife. I’m sorry for your loss.
