this is like if a badly written ao3 fic was a play. i’m sorry i’m sure this was revolutionary to 18th century german audiences but seriously… give me one more love interest for the one female character and i’m closing this book schiller 🤦‍♀️

i like how he uses the play form to explore how deceptive humanity is to close ones when self interest is involved but it feels more like a moral lesson rather than a work of lit..the characters are very surface level although they explore how humans led by different emotions slowly destroy themselves?which i like but the morality seems too obvious.why is someone throwing a baby into a fire for ‘fun’😭
