I raced into this book, reading it like I read most of my books, trusting that the important messages will stick. Then I realised that this wasn't working, that this wasn't 'that type of book'.

So I've gone back to Chapter One and am now reading it meditatively, taking one short chapter each day and chewing on it.

I'm also reading 'Who is Jesus?' by Thomas Rausch at the same time - I sense I'm being called to this.
