I loved the first book: it took little time to get to the meat of the story. This one is the opposite, and I'm not feeling the same pull to keep going as I was with the first book. This one is starting more political, giving background to new players, taking its time building the foundation. At the same time it's dual pov is more of a rehash than continuation, making it feel slow. I'm still excited to see more.
