Ch9-10: Bragi puts High Crag on notice. Their contract will be paid and forces sent away. He plans to approach Haroun. Ch10 takes us back in time with Tam training to take his father’s place and coming into his own. Shows his side of what happened in previous story and Mist’s defeat. He has Shinsan but he’s turned isolationist. The Tervola don’t like it.

Ch 7-8: not-Harish assassins come for Bragi but find only Elana and children. Elana and 2? kids die. Details were a bit lost. The Harish blade is a ploy. Not sure who or why. Mocker is saved (maybe) by Torvola and Star Rider. These sections are dense with plot set-up. Borderline overwrought complexity.

Ch4: the boys discuss some shit. They know mocker is disappeared. Not who? El Murid? Fiana is pregnant with Bragi’s kid. They’re worried about the pregnancy.

Ch3: Bragi sends Mocker to find Haroun. He’s in the hills(?). Was launching attacks on El Murid from various moving camps with funding from javelin and Itaskia, but went quiet. The political landscape is changing and they all want to know what’s happened.

Mocker is captured. By who? Haroun? Is the Merc Guild in the big plot?

All Darkness Met. Ch.1-2: a peak into the Dread Empire. A secret global cabal, headed by the Star Rider (?) finds the deformed bastard of one of Prince Nu Li Hsi. They mean to use him as a puppet to overthrow the brothers.

Mocker, living destitute with Nepanthe and their son, get an invite to the castle from Bragi, now Marshal of Kavelin. Mocker plots. But an envoy from El Murid wants revenge for old sins.

Ch.13: the Captal’s pov as the war begins. He wants a just eat it seems. Has a social project in mind. Has treated princess well, as has Mist.

Most is deepened. No longer just an evil witch.

Ch.12: Bragi bangs the Queen and uncovers a conspiracy against her. Heads roll.

Mocker meets Haroun… or Haroun infesting another body. Something’s off about Haroun now that we’ve kind of met him. He’s part of the big show.

Ch.11: Bragi ascends to Marshal of Kavelin. He saves the Queen from forced abdication and then captures Vodicka.

Ch.10: back in the war. Bragi goes to the Queen for a dying Tarlson (a king? Not quite sure what he was). Mocker escapes.
