I just finished Northanger Abbey. The language of this novel was a bit harder to wade through than the others, which I suppose, is a good reason for it to be included toward the end of the collected works. The problem with Jane Austen is that my brain gets into the rhythm of her writing and I then start thinking in nineteenth century prose.

I just finished Emma. I thoroughly enjoyed it, which is rather funny considering the writing style of the time...Long conversational ramblings of senseless niceties of the time. And yet, it does give a very good impression of the characters.
