I stopped reading on page 122, but that doesn’t mean much in a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book. Tomorrow I could very well end on an earlier page. It’s hard to know how far I am in the book, and I don’t know if I’ll be successful in reading *every* possible path, but regardless, it’s made me literally laugh out loud several times already. I like how it both celebrates and mocks the source material.

I started ending up in the same place, so I began going through it page-by-page to hit any options I’d missed and that’s led me to a whole bizarre side-quest in which I’m controlling both Romeo and Juliet simultaneously. I do want to ensure I’ve read the whole book, but it’s still hard to know how much I’ve actually read. I’m guessing I’m really like 75% done? But who knows.

At one point, Romeo reads a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure (CYOA) version of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, and *within* that story is a CYOA version of PYRAMUS & THISBE. Yes, that’s right: a CYOA story in a CYOA story inside a CYOA story. 🤯 Also, there was a CYOA MACBETH story here, too, which was actually the first one I encountered and I was super excited about it since I just read MACBETH recently.
