and our prophecy has come true you've reached the point where the cards are dealt~

message 2: by kvikna (new) - added it

kvikna I've been spoiled of the culprit, unfortunately
I don't mind it that much because I don't think anyone reads this for big plot revelations, but because you have a candidate for the best dialogue ever written every 10 pages or so lmao
Legit think this is better than Crime and Punishment and Notes from Underground already

and our prophecy has come true that's a shame.. it really adds to the tension for a while. i went into it relatively blind, and explored the trails as presented they way you'd with a mystery novel but that is just one aspect of the work and i expect the intensity would remain there either way. in fact, the perpetrator(?) might even be obvious from early on to the practical reader and progressively become less relevant. pro and contra is centric to the entire work by virtue of demonstrating the extent of ivan's intellectual convictions and karamazovian essence and of exposing the sinister tension between him and smerdyakov. the book is very quotable indeed, and there need be no murder to make it so. in this way it is much less action-oriented than crime and punishment i guess.
