She wrapped her arms around his neck, and for a second, she held tight. She held him as if he were hers and she were his, and there was nothing else between them. No curses. No lies. No past wounds or mistakes. She held him as if there were only now, as if nothing mattered but this moment. Then she let him go.

Sad that I'm not enjoying this series as much as I did the first time I read it last year. :( Finding some character flaws/things I do not enjoy about Evangeline and dare I say, she's a bit annoying??
