Pretty weird by modern standards. I don't know.

The bestiary is pretty remarkably comprehensive, too. There's at the very least as much here than in the whole 2e Old World Bestiary put together. Perhaps more.

I'll need to remember these in the future no matter which edition I'll end up playing in the future.

I always liked the flavor of Warhammer's magic. Here it's all still a bit half-baked. Too much D&D.

GM's section has a whole bunch of unexpectedly good test advice.

Second edition's one of my favourite systems and I've gotten a lot of good gaming done on it. This is my first time reading the first edition. I've heard mixed things about it.

Its mechanics are rather difficult to wrap my head around. It's got the whole bunch of dice and clearly hasn't yet figured out exactly what it wants to be - and lore-wise, a lot of Warhammer's big features don't yet exist.

Nice art, though.
