Just finished volume 1, I don't know how much I enjoy this authors perspective, but I think I'll try to find the next book and finish it anyway.
He spends alot of time with the details of sailing techniques and how each ship was oriented, which doesn't interest me.
He does a good job discussing controversies with the story and differing accounts of certain events which is nice
