During the early stages of reading this book. In chapter 11 Rosa is delayed in leaving because she notices that the dog hasn't been fed and there's no dog food in the house. She also realizes that she is running out of time. Why doesn't the author state that Rosa calls her paying employer and inform him that she will be arriving late ?
