Just looking at reviews of “The XY” by Virginia Bergin—and I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews. I’m a bit surprised because none of the negative reviews seem to pick up on the fact that this book is satire. It deliberately exaggerates aspects of our current society and holds up a mirror to show the flaws we have in our gender norms and expectations.
