I get that this is supposed to be a sad, weighing book, but I can’t fathom what kind of twisted approach needs to be taken to write about such cruel things as matter-of-factly this book does.

The plot, at this point, is losing itself to just twist into a “how can I make this more uncomfortable without necessarily contributing to the story??” Gross

I accidentally spoiled a bit for myself while trying to avoid triggers lol (a death if anyone is curious)

I have every intention of finishing this book, but god is it heavy and god does it weigh

Quite honestly, this is just pure emotional trauma porn and if I didn’t have someone tell me about Hanya’s inspiration by the painting and an ‘irredeemable’ character I wouldn’t understand any point of this intention.

Is it well written? Yea
Is the narrator good on the audio book? Yea
Would I recommend this book? No, cause I feel like there’s nothing deeper than just feeling better of your own life
