Hardt and Negri dreamed of the solidarity of the multitude. Instead, I dream of the misdelivery of the tourist. (...) Where the former is a reaction born of Empire and calls for the politics of the nation state to intervene in private life, the latter is the noise born of the liminal space between Empire and the nation state, and will no doubt quietly change public spaces by way of private desires.
