This is still one of the best in ToG on my 3rd reread BUT I haTE ch 14 with everything in my soul bc it’s so PUBLICLY MORTIFYING, I literally have to breathe to settle myself before I endure it and somehow it gets even more humiliating every time 😭 this scene and the “don’t touch me like that” scene from QoS will ruin a girls day lemme tell u 🫠

I started to slow down bc I was avoiding reading one of the most horribly painful scenes in this series in terms of secondhand “embarrassment” idk what the emotion is because embarrassed doesn’t seem like the right one but it’s when Chaol goes to help train the healers for the first time & Yrene has the acolytes take Chaol off the horse (w/o asking him if it’s ok) and they drop him but I persevered 😩

Tandem reread is going well, I forgot how funny Yrene is when she’s assessing Chaol and she asks about him being able to use his manhood to completion, he’s like “is that necessary?…what are you writing” “‘I’m writing a giant NO’ Which she then underlined.” Hahahahahaahah that’s my healer Queen 👸🏾
